The objective here was to increase production capacity, bring down higher production costs, work safety were some of the key challenges at the NMDC’s project at Bacheli, Dantewada. They wanted that their workers to realise their potential, discover their key strengths, take responsibility and believe in them that they can turn things around. Our intervention helped with the production team become aware of their capacity, resilience, endurance, determination and safety. Management of NMDC’s units at Bacheli and Donnimalai has reported that they have seen a change in the behaviour of the 300 odd people that had underwent training with us. They see them now to be much more relaxed, happier and positive. The production capacity from previous two years has significantly risen by an average of 4.3% as compared to only 1.5% of the previous 10 years.
The training that NMDC people went through really helped sharpen their focus on their projects and how they are looking to take on their present and future challenges with a focused and positive attitude. The people felt that they have enhanced critical thinking abilities and lowered stress levels. The training helped them wrapping up with five or six specific objectives that will also impact upon their financial health.
